Release #100: Beginnings- Cheryl's recording debut cassette release "Beginnings" was dedicated to patrons for use at the Moscow Planetarium. These instrumental synthesized compositions set the tone for Cheryl's composition style. With meditative selections such as the "Love Trilogy", "Teadrops" and "Beginnings" Skinner sets the mood for contemplation, reflection and relaxation. Beginnings is currently out of print.
Release #101-Sunday Afternoon: Cheryl Lynne Skinner's first CD, Sunday Afternoon, reflects Skinner's multiple talents--as a flautist, vocalist, pianist and as a composer. from the primal rhythms of " African Arias" to th haunting lyricism of " Sunday Afternoon" to the stylistic surprises of "Go for Baroque," Sunday Afternoon projects Skinner's energy, spirituality and gentle humor. Sunday Afternoon synthesizes smooth jazz with a variety of popular styles into a unique blend that is purly Cheryl Lynne Skinner. Sunday Afternoon was taped live at the Kentucky Center as part of the Jazz Cabaret Series.
