This was one of my first compositions. I experimented with a vocal version and an instrumental version. They became very different animals each having it’s own groove. I couldn’t decide which to record so I recorded both. The second version became “Fly” (track #10) included on this CD. Producing the Sunday Afternoon CD was a huge statement for me in my career process. It celebrates the release of my authentic self and the acceptance of who I am as an artist. Although an artist embraces critical acclaim for their work in retrospect on the personal level the success lies in the fact that I had a dream, set a goal and finished by the grace of God and despite my painful shyness. The release opened the doors to a path of opportunity that I couldn’t have imagined.
